PAGE FOUNDATION HONORS ARTHUR BLANK
AT PAGE TURNING EVENT
Arthur Blank, founder of Home Depot, owner of the Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta philanthropist, was the honoree at the 2010 PAGE Turning Event to benefit the PAGE Foundation. Executive Director Dr. Allene Magill presented the award. PAGE Turning honorees were Curley M. Dawson Jr. of Georgia-Pacific, Phil Jacobs of BellSouth, Southern Company's David M. Ratcliffe, Ingrid Saunders Jones of the Coca-Cola Company, John Rice of GE, U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, U.S. Rep. John Lewis, Sylvia Russell of AT&T Georgia, Paul Bowers of Georgia Power, Robert L. Brown Jr. of R.L. Brown and Associates, J. Alvin Wilbanks of Gwinnett County Public Schools, and former Georgia Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond.

As school districts around the state begin hiring instructional coaches, PAGE sees a need for professional learning for these new positions. A partnership was born between PAGE and RESAs as PAGE brought in guest speakers and provided high-quality training for educators.

The PAGE Future Educators of Georgia program gathered high school students from around the state to participate in hands-on workshops and hear from inspiring speakers and compete in activities like Knowledge Bowl.

FORMER PAGE PRESIDENT LESLIE MILLS REMEMBERS
Leslie Mills dedicated over three decades to teaching mathematics and another 18 years as a mathematics consultant, profoundly impacting education in Georgia. Joining the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) during her senior year at Georgia Southern College, Leslie’s involvement deepened significantly over the years. She served on PAGE’s Board of Directors and as President in 2014-2015. She championed professional development and fostered initiatives that greatly expanded PAGE's influence, especially among instructional coaches. Recognized for transforming PAGE’s engagement with educators, Leslie spearheaded training programs that brought nationally renowned speakers to Georgia, enhancing the professional landscape for teachers statewide. Her commitment to PAGE was driven by a belief in proactive, localized support for educators, advocating for professional learning that was accessible and tailored to the unique challenges of rural teaching environments.
PAGE membership tops 90,000 and becomes the 2nd largest independent education association in America.
