VERONICA SIMS, LONGEST-SERVING CURRENT EMPLOYEE, JOINS THE PAGE FAMILY

From Veronica: "PAGE is family, and that extends to how I greet every new employee. It's more than just a phrase; it reflects the organization's heart. With 35 years of service across various departments, including membership, foundation, and professional learning, I've had the privilege of experiencing the organization's profound impact.

One of the most meaningful aspects of my role has been supporting families in times of need. Upon learning of an educator's accidental death through the local news or social media, I would quickly verify their membership status and then contact their loved ones to inform them of the AD&D insurance coverage included with their membership. This was a difficult task, but it brought comfort to the grieving families. I'd also facilitate communication with the insurance provider.

I've witnessed firsthand how every PAGE employee goes above and beyond to provide exceptional care to our members, student programs, legal services, and legislative advocacy. PAGE's mission is clear: to inform, protect, and empower educators to teach, lead, and inspire Georgia's children. I'm proud to be part of this dedicated team."

JULIANA NALEWAY JOINS PAGE STAFF

Juliana Naleway's 30-year tenure with the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) was marked by significant contributions to the STAR program and in support of its executive directors. Starting in 1989 under Executive Director Jack Acree’s leadership, Juliana experienced the evolution of PAGE under various directors as it continued to grow in services and membership. Her favorite moments include organizing the annual state STAR Banquet, a testament to PAGE’s commitment to supporting student and educator achievement. Through strategic initiatives and enhancements in member engagement and public relations, she played a pivotal role in supporting PAGE's growth. Juliana hopes her legacy will reflect her dedication to uplift her colleagues and effectively support all areas of PAGE’s work.
